Friends for many years, we drifted different directions and had not spoken for some time. It started with a simple phone call; Kevin needed the phone number of a mutual friend. Meeting for happy hour to catch up with each other seemed natural and like a pleasant diversion. We have not gone a single day since that first meeting without talking. At first, the romance was cautious but soon we realized that not only did we share many things in common, we loved being together. It was breathtaking and unexpected. We fell madly in love and created a happy family of five out of the remnants of somewhat painful past lives.
